Packing is an essential element to a successful removal. Unfortunately some people over look the importance of packing and this can lead to some problems.
When it comes to packing, there is a decision that needs to be made; will you pack your personal effects yourself or will you pay to have a packing / removal company pack your effects for you?
The easiest way is of course to have your goods packed by the removal company, meaning you don't have to worry about providing materials or labour for what can be an arduous and time consuming task. This service is called a pre-pack and here at Australia National Removals Group we are happy to quote you on this service.
Alternatively, many people prefer to pack their personal effects themselves, this allows them to pack gradually and minimize the cost of their removal. If this is your preferred method then there are some simple guidelines to follow that will minimize the risk of damage to goods you have personally packed.
Self Packing Guidelines
- Use cardboard removal cartons
- Pack cartons tightly and to the top, using scrunched up paper as your top layer
- Tape cardboard boxes properly with packing tape
- Resist the urge to over pack cartons
- Wrap all fragile items carefully in paper (newspaper is fine)
- Avoid putting fragile items at the top of a carton

Each deal consists of tape, packing paper, marker pens, delivery and of course cartons (standard and book cartons).
